I have a sweet tooth. And let's be clear, I'm not referring to a single square of dark chocolate kind of sweet tooth but rather a devouring the stash of fundraiser chocolate bars kind of sweet tooth. This baby is voracious.
That's why cutting out sugar for a month was particularly daunting for me, especially when it involved omitting the obligatory 3 dates and frozen banana from my morning smoothies.
I mean are you even living if you can't put banana in your smoothies?!
After trial and error, I stumbled across this gem of a smoothie that actually tasted more like a vanilla malt than the superfood blend of avocado and collagen that it really was. This concoction pulled me up and over the hump of no sugar madness. Not to mention it was a breakfast that kept me satiated and gave me steady energy throughout the day.
